I did receive an email today from a reader who had a rather unpleasant experience with LaScola Restaurant. I am VERY disappointed to hear that LaScola would treat their customers like this!
To all of the Restaurant.com fans out there that currently have a Restaurant.com gift certificate for La Scola Italian Grill – WARNING – do not go to the restaurant and expect to use it. I went to La Scola Italian Grill last week with certificate in hand and inquired about the restrictions before ordering dinner. I was very disappointed when the server informed me that the restaurant had a dispute with Restaurants.com and no longer honored the certificate.
I found the Restaurants.com phone number online and they were extremely quick and helpful in dealing with the situation. They simply emailed a new certificate code and I was instantly able to go online and buy another gift certificate in the same amount to any restaurant I wanted.
I do not know what happened between La Scola Italian Grill and Restaurant.com but I do know who gained my business from the situation. The Restaurants.com representative treated me with respect and handled the situation promptly. I will certainly give them my business again.
